Synplicity has released its Confirma platform, a tightly-integrated, hardware-assisted verification platform for ASIC and ASSP designs. Confirma targets FPGA-based prototyping of designs with three main tools. The Certify software takes the design and partitions it into multiple FPGAs. IdentifyPro software provides visibility into the design's operation and interfaces with industry-standard software simulators for easy debugging. The HAPS (HARDI ASIC prototyping system) boards provide the hardware execution engine, allowing nearly full-speed execution of designs before committing to silicon.
The Confirma platform represents the synergy that Synplicity has achieved with its acquisition of HARDI Electronics on June 1.
