PCI Express analog I/O cards perform waveform generation

Adlink's DAQe-2500 series of analog I/O multifunction data-acquisition cards for the PCI Express bus provides hardware-based arbitrary waveform generation, which frees up CPU resources for optimum system efficiency, even when all outputs are updating at full speed. The two-card series offers a choice of either four or eight 12-bit analog output channels capable of simultaneously updating at a sustained rate of 1 Msample/s. They also furnish four or eight 400-ksample/s, 14-bit single-ended analog inputs with programmable polarity. What's more, these cards are able to perform simultaneous analog input and output functions at full speed. In addition, the DAQe-2500 series incorporates a system synchronization interface (SSI) bus to allow up to four cards to be synchronized for simplified expansion of testing capabilities.
Each data acquisition card is equipped with auto-calibration that adjusts the gain and offset to within specified parameters to ensure testing accuracy, regardless of environmental uncertainty. Scatter-gather bus mastering enables the acquisition of a large amount of data at high speed by transferring data directly to and from memory through a DMA controller. Prices start at $690.
