Lumenera introduces 5-Mpixel USB 2.0 color cameras

Lumenera chose the International Robots & Vision Show to announced the release of the Lw570 and Lw575 series of color USB 2.0 cameras, designed for use in a variety of industrial and scientific applications demanding high resolution and low-light performance.

This 5-Mpixel CMOS camera series offers a combination of frame rates and resolution (from 7 fps at full 2592 x 1944-pixel resolution to 60 fps through sub-windowing). Other features include high dynamic range, on-board processing, and DirectShow connectivity. Uncompressed images such as streaming video and still image capture are provided across a high-speed USB 2.0 digital interface. No frame grabber is required. Camera control is available through a software developer’s kit (SDK), with sample code available to quickly integrate camera functions into OEM applications.
