Pinpoint's laser alignment kit enables precise measurement

Able to measure in two axial directions, the Microgage 2D alignment kit from Pinpoint Laser Systems is useful for precision measuring, machine alignment, calibration, and other demanding industrial applications. You can employ the system to check and align roll and web lines, CNC cutting and milling equipment, lathes, stamping presses, injection molding machines, extrusion systems, ion implantation systems, and other production equipment to improve operating efficiency and reduce downtime.
The Microgage 2D combines a compact laser transmitter and receiver with digital display. Each receiver measures in two axial directions (x and y), and you can have up to four separate receivers connected to the Microgage 2D at any given time. As the laser moves across the receiver in a vertical or horizontal direction, the display provides a reading of motion, accurate to within 0.0001 in. The unit operates over a distance of 100 ft with a bright red beam that is quickly adaptable to many industrial applications.
Microgage 2D is machined of solid aluminum with a hard anodized coating for wear resistance. It provides a sealed push-button keypad, large LCD, and both serial and USB interfaces for connecting to a PC or laptop for plotting and analyzing data for maintenance records, customer compliance, and other uses. The system, which also includes a variety of mounts and receivers, comes in a compact carrying case to store components and is easily carried right out onto the manufacturing floor.
