Designed specifically for machine-vision and process control applications, the Fastcam MC1 remote-head camera from Photron delivers 2000 fps at full resolution and up to 10,000 fps at reduced resolution. The compact, robust camera can be installed in any difficult to reach location, making it useful for slow-motion troubleshooting on the production line.
Fastcam MC1 uses the same tiny, ruggedized camera head as Photron’s Fastcam MH4 high-speed imager and connects to a compact processor unit via a flexible, shielded 7-meter (23-ft) camera cable, allowing for easy placement of the small imager into confined spaces.
Two memory options provide for either 2 seconds (1 Gbyte) or 4 seconds (2 Gbytes) of record time at 2000 fps and 8 seconds (1 Gbyte) or 16 seconds (2 Gbytes) at 500 fps. Four buttons on the front panel allow you to change camera parameters with only a display monitor connected to the processor’s BNC video-out connector. An optional remote keypad with a built-in 5-in. LCD and RS-422 interface is available for more complicated camera setups.
Fastcam MC1 comes with viewer software, a Gigabit Ethernet interface, and a C-mount lens adapter.
