Telescent's rack-mount housing holds retractable fiber-optic cable

A 3RU 19-in. rack-mount module from Telescent accommodates eight SureLink retractable fiber-optic cable cassettes to simplify cable management in wiring closets and test and measurement systems requiring frequent reconfiguration. The need to organize excess cable lengths is eliminated by providing fiber-optic patch cords in cassette form, with each cassette dispensing up to 3 meters of cable.
Rack-mount retractable cable cassettes are available with simplex, duplex, and ribbon fiber-optic cable. The cassette design maintains a minimum bend radius of 1.5 in. for jacketed fiber and incorporates a continuous, uninterrupted length of optical fiber to ensure error-free optical transmission.
Retractable cable cassettes simplify the operation, test, and maintenance of optical networks and improve reliability by eliminating the potential for damaging delicate fiber-optic cable.
