Sixnet unveils military Ethernet switches

The new line of IP67 military Ethernet switches has rugged D38999-style connectors.

-- Test & Measurement World, 11/12/2007 8:18:00 AM

Sixnet has introduced a new line of IP67 military Ethernet switches with rugged D38999 style connectors. The ET-8MS-MIL-1 (managed) and ET-8ES-MIL-1 (unmanaged) are eight-port Ethernet switches rated for MIL-STD-810F, MIL-STD-461E, and MIL-STD-1275. The IP67/NEMA 6 rated package protects against dust, water, oil, and debris.

Each port supports auto-speed/duplex, auto-crossover, and auto-polarity. Sixnet claims that the fast wire-speed switching with automatic intelligent routing prevents collisions and delays. Dual (redundant) power inputs with MIL-STD-1275 military spike and surge protection are available.
