Staff -- Test & Measurement World, 12/1/2007
The E2969B Protocol Test Card II PCI Express (PCIe) bus analyzer lets you monitor and exercise bus traffic at speeds up to 5 Gtransfers/s. The card plugs into a x1 to x16 PCIe slot and runs all 22 PCIe compliance tests. With the E2969B-COM option, the card can perform more than 180 PCI-SIG recommended tests: 94 transaction-layer tests, 31 link-layer tests, 57 configuration-space tests, and 1 electrical-layer test. As a bus exerciser, the E2969B can let you test bus timing under controlled conditions.
The E2969B’s USB port lets you control the card from another PC while you test the bus on a PC under test. PC software generates test reports in HTML format.
