Tektronix has enhanced its RF Scout interference hunter with a TD-SCDMA scanner to support the emerging standard currently being deployed in China. When combined with the RF Scout’s capabilities, the scanner offers network operators a one-box RF field optimization solution that enables them to improve RF network performance with the ability to check and troubleshoot coverage and interference issues on TD-SCDMA networks.
The RF Scout provides spectrum analysis, interference analysis and logging, coverage tools, RF benchmarking, and multi-measurement mapping in one rugged, handheld platform. It enables network performance planning and optimization teams to explore, discover, analyze, and document interference, coverage issues, and other signal quality problems. Network engineers can identify cell coverage or interference issues and then diagnose the root case using a combination of the TD-SCDMA scanner and RF Scout tools. The TD-SCDMA option is also available for Tektronix’ NetTek field base station tester.
