Compatible with the FTB-400 Universal Test System, the FTB-8140 Transport Blazer from EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering offers advanced SONET/SDH and OTN test functions at 40-Gbps and 43-Gbps transmission rates—all in a single module. You can use the compact, portable module for network commissioning, characterization testing, and troubleshooting.
An intuitive feature-rich interface and support for OTN testing at the OTU-3 level, including forward error correction as per ITU-T G.709, streamline testing of OC-768/STM-256 links without compromising on functionality. The FTB-8140 is also compatible with NRZ, ODB, DSPK, and DQPSK optical transmission protocols to address all field-testing needs while ensuring future scalability.
The FTB-8140 can be combined with the wide range of optical test modules available for the FTB-400 platform to form a portable solution capable of addressing 40-Gbps test requirements from the physical to the transmission layer. In addition, it can be matched with the FTB-8130NGE Power Blazer to handle DSn/PDH, SONET/SDH (155 Mbps to 40 Gbps), OTN (2.7 Gbps to 43 Gbps), and Ethernet (10 Mbps to 10 GigE LAN/WAN) testing requirements in a single platform.
