Resolve Optics' zoom lens provides high-def imaging

-- Test & Measurement World, 1/21/2008 6:00:00 PM

With a focal length of 4 mm to 40 mm, this motorized zoom lens from Resolve Optics delivers high-definition imaging throughout its range of operation. The f/2.2 lens, which is designed for use with 1/3-in. three-chip high-definition cameras, delivers a resolution of 720 lines in progressive mode and 1080 lines in interlaced mode in a compact size case that is only 84x70x70 mm.

The 10X zoom lens can focus on an object at 1300 mm through to infinity and at any object distance, while the high-definition image stays in focus throughout the zoom range (focus tracking). Focus, zoom, and iris functions are motorized with Swiss DC motors to provide smooth and precise movements.
