Electromatic improves digital stroboscope's flash functions

The newly enhanced CheckLine PK2X, a handheld digital stroboscope from Electromatic Equipment, leverages a Xenon flash tube that delivers a brightness of 1200 lux—50% brighter than the PK2. It also boasts a flash rate of up to 12,000 flashes/min and a rechargeable lithium-ion battery that provides a full two hours of continuous use. In addition, the PK2X can now be connected to an AC power source using the supplied universal-voltage AC adapter/charger.
Lighter than its predecessor and small enough to be operated with one hand, the PK2X performs as well as comparable larger and heavier pistol-grip–type models. You can use the stroboscope for non-contact RPM measurement, as well as for inspecting moving parts by freezing or slowing down the action. This stroboscopic effect is accomplished by matching the flash rate of the stroboscope with the repetitive rate of motion of the target. A slow-motion effect is achieved with a slight mismatch of the relative speeds.
The PK2X provides accurate speed control with drift-free operation, a resolution of ±1 flash/min over its entire range of 30 flashes/min to 12,000 flashes/min, and external triggering capability when an external sensor is used for flash rate control.
