Anritsu‘s MP1800A signal-quality analyzer combines hardware and software to perform stressed-eye tests on optical receivers. The measurement suite consists of an MP1800A analyzer configured with a built-in synthesizer, a pulse pattern generator, and an error detector combined with stressed-eye measurement control software, a stressed-eye transmitter, and an optical receiver.
The transmitter supports 1310- and 1550-nm wavelengths, and the control software supports power-penalty tests, jitter-tolerance margin measurements, and jitter sweeps for jitter tolerance go/no-go tests for signals from 100 Mbps to 12.5 Gbps. You can make optical modulation amplitude (OMA), extinction ratio, and vertical eye closure penalty (VECP) measurements with a ±0.3-dB power penalty. Base price: $46,500.
