Agilent's waveform analyzer boasts ultra-low residual jitter
-- Test & Measurement World, 2/13/2008 12:00:00 PM
A plug-in module for the Agilent 86100C Infiniium DCA-J wideband oscilloscope, the 86108A waveform analyzer provides residual jitter well below 100 femtoseconds (60 fs typical), a bandwidth in excess of 33 GHz, and channel noise of less than 300 µV to allow accurate measurement of high-speed serial bus signals.
Measurement setup is made easy with integrated clock recovery hardware. This allows the 86108A to trigger directly from a single-ended or differential data signal, eliminating the need for a separate trigger input. The integrated triggering system functions even in the presence of spread-spectrum clocking, allowing accurate signal analysis on components and systems used for serial buses, such as PCI Express and SATA. An on-board phase detector enables accurate measurements of PLL bandwidth, jitter transfer, and jitter/phase noise spectrum.
Prices for the Agilent 86108A waveform analyzer start at $85,000.
