Joining Strategic Test’s UltraFast line of PCI Express cards is a 16-bit data-acquisition board offering 16 channels, each with its own 250-kHz ADC to achieve true simultaneous sampling. Each channel also accommodates eight input voltage ranges from ±50 mV to ±10V.
The UF2e-4721 offers such options as dual time base sampling, synchronous digital inputs, asynchronous digital I/O, and the ability to synchronize up to 4336 channels. You can outfit the board with up to 2 Gsamples of signal memory. In FIFO mode, the UF2e-4721 continuously transfers recorded data gap-free to a PC at speeds of up to 120 Mbytes/s. Specifications include a signal-to-noise ratio of greater than 90.6 dB, total harmonic distortion of less than –105.0 dB, a 3-dB bandwidth of greater than 125 kHz, and an effective number of bits (ENOB) of more than 14.7 bits.
The board is also available in an eight-channel version, designated the UF2e-4720. All UF2e-4700 series boards come with drivers for Windows and Linux, as well as the SBench 5.3 oscilloscope program. Optional development kits are available for MATLAB, LabView, Agilent-VEE, DASYLab, and LabWindows/CVI. Prices start at $4190 with OEM discounts available.
