Rambus picks V93000 HSM for memory test

-- Test & Measurement World, 2/26/2008 5:32:00 AM

Verigy has announced that Rambus has selected the Verigy V93000 HSM Series for testing of its XDR memory architecture, which serves gaming, multicore computing, and other consumer-electronics applications, supplying up to five times more usable bandwidth to memory controllers than today's best competing memory technologies. The XDR product family provides the capability to scale data rates beyond 8.0 GHz.

Andy Chan, VP of engineering at Rambus, commented that collaboration between Rambus and Verigy applications engineers helped Rambus speed its products to market. Pascal Ronde, Verigy’s VP of sales, service, and support, said that strategic teamwork between the two companies helped to enhance V93000 as a platform for testing ultra-high speed devices.
