The largest in Starrett's Galileo line of video measuring systems, the AV1824 CNC vision system extends the speed, power, and accuracy of this class of video systems to larger parts.
The AV1824 is an intermediate-travel, multi-sensor metrology instrument for use in quality control labs, as well as research, engineering, and manufacturing environments. Its color optical system provides zoom magnification of 12:1 with a programmable magnification range of 15X to 550X with auxiliary lenses. A dual-output LED illuminator, ring light, and coaxial illumination deliver optimum lighting. The system also includes dual flat-panel displays.
The Galileo AV1824 includes Metronics Quadra-Chek QC-5000 3D metrology software with video edge detection and full CNC control. Using the familiar Windows operating system, QC-5000 lets you obtain, store, manage, and distribute precision measurement data directly from the lab or the shop floor.
The large work envelope of the AV1824 offers a measurement volume of 24x18x6 in. on an X-Y-Z measuring stage and a motion volume of 24.2x18.2x6.2 in. Overall size of the AV1824 is 39x39x60 in., and the system weighs approximately 900 lbs. Maximum workload evenly distributed is 220 lbs without the translight or 44 lbs with the translight.
Options include LED subsurface illumination, a Renishaw touch probe, laser scanner, and CNC rotary positioning device.
