ESI Group has released a new version of its PAM-CEM Solutions software that performs electromagnetic compatibility (EMC) simulations for applications in industries such as aerospace and defense, electronics, transportation, and telecommunications. The software package offers 3-D time-domain simulations for reflected or diffracted phenomena and a Transmission Lines tool for cable networks.
Other features include management of large STL models and NASTRAN files, interactive addressing of cable networks (including dynamic allocation), management of different loads on terminal connectors, full specification of voltage and current generators, and generation of all data files with the display of cross sections and tubes content.
The 3-D computational stage was also upgraded and CPU optimized to include surface currents display, extended multifrequency output of relevant results starting from a single 3-D run, and modeling of lossy dielectric grounds through perfectly matched layers (PML) boundary conditions.
“With the aim of offering always more predictive tools in electromagnetics, PAM-CEM Solutions is gathering all those enhancements identified by our industrial partners as key features on the road to realistic simulation,” said product manager Dr. Jean-Claude Kedzia.
PAM-CEM Solutions is available on Windows XP or UNIX platforms (HP, SUN, and IBM), and for LINUX kernels (32- and 64-bit versions).
