APEX: Seica debuts Pilot V8 flying prober

Seica chose APEX (www.goipcshows.org) to debut its Pilot V8 double-sided flying prober, which employs the vendor’s vertical board-under-test architecture while accommodating eight electrical-flying-test probes: four per side. In addition, it accommodates two (one per each side) Openfix capacitive probes, two (one per each side) power flying probes, and two (one per each side) CCD cameras.
The Pilot V8 has 14 mobile resources available to test the unit under test (UUT). In addition, like the other Seica flying-probe systems, the Pilot V8 can implement a series of net-oriented measurement techniques. The mobile power probes enable the power-up of the UUT without requiring any additional fixed cables. Seica’s Pilot V8 can also execute parallel tests on two UUTs at the same time.
The Pilot V8 is based on the Seica VIP platform, which guides the user through a series of automated operations to reduce programming time and minimizing errors and omissions.
