Photron announces the Fastcam SA3, a megapixel, high-speed video imaging system designed to withstand high-G and rugged environments. Ideal for automotive safety testing, the new camera features 17-micron pixel size for demanding frame rate or low light applications, providing light sensitivity, image quality, and color fidelity.
The 12-bit CMOS camera system with 2-microsecond global shuttering is available in two configurations and two memory options (2 GB and 4 GB). The Fastcam SA3 Model 60K performs at 1024x1024 full pixel resolution up to 1000 fps, and offers reduced resolution up to 60,000 fps. The Model 120K operates at 1024x1024 full pixel resolution up to 2000 fps, with reduced resolution up to 120,000 fps. The system is suited for high-speed impact testing and analysis, R&D, and industrial high-speed imaging.
Photron’s Fastcam SA3 is easy to operate and integrate with the user-select button on the rear panel or via the Gigabit Ethernet interface. The optional RS-422 remote keypad control with the built-in 5-in. LCD color display offers real-time monitoring capabilities during setup, recording, and playback without requiring an attached computer.Photron, www.photron.com.
