BVS releases 802.11 WiFi monitoring software

-- Test & Measurement World, 4/7/2008 5:19:00 PM

Remote management software from Berkeley Varitronics Systems is a data monitoring and reporting application that lets you access the Yellowjacket 802.11b/a/n/g WiFi analyzer receiver from anywhere in the world over standard 10/100-Mbps Ethernet connections.

The software controls the Yellowjacket receiver remotely, collects RF spectrum and packet data in real time, and stores it in a relational database powered by Microsoft’s SQL Server Express.

Remote Manager software creates comprehensive Excel and PDF data reports over various time periods for a temporal overview of any 802.11b/a/n/g network, as well as unknown or suspicious 2.4-GHz or 5-GHz sources of interference.

Remote Manager comes with an Ethernet adapter and data cable.

Price: $1150. Berkeley Varitronics Systems, www.bvsystems.com.
