Dytran Instruments announces that it has received ISO/IEC 17025:2005 certification from the American Association for Laboratory Accreditation (A2LA). ISO/IEC 17025:2005 specifies the general requirements for the competence to carry out tests and/or calibrations, including sampling. It covers testing and calibration performed using standard methods, nonstandard methods, and laboratory-developed methods.
ISO 17025 certification means that all calibrations performed by Dytran are recognized as valid and repeatable by the International Organization for Standardization (ISO). In awarding this certification, A2LA acknowledges Dytran’s procedures, standards, and personnel to be up to its rigorous standards.
Dave Change, Dytran’s VP of Sales & Marketing, explains how important the new accreditation is to Dytran and its customers: “We look at this achievement as a real milestone in our quest to provide the best possible service to our customers. When, as a company, you have put in the work required to achieve this certification with A2LA accreditation, it sends a clear message to your automotive and aerospace customers that you realize what is important to them. It assures the customers you have competent people in your organization, exercising sound engineering principles in order to deliver a calibration with the highest possible accuracy. We are really proud of the effort our people here at Dytran put into achieving this great accomplishment. Our goal is to provide the best calibration services in the business with a blend of accuracy, competence, and quick turnaround. One of the main tenants of AS9100 and ISO 17025 is the notion of continuous improvement. This is a great example of a major improvement in our ability to serve the customer.”
