VTI offers integration services for customizing RFIU test systems

VTI Microwave has announced the launch of its Custom Integration Services to help customers design and develop customized RF interface unit (RFIU) test systems. The company's services range from providing LXI Class A modular subsystem units to building entire test systems.
Through the new service, VTI combines modular hardware with standard software tools to create flexible, reusable RFIU test systems. The company says its goal is to provide customers with solutions that help reduce development cycle time as well as the cost of ownership.
Customers receive 3-D models of all designs, full system documentation, and a repeatable test and manufacturing process. Test systems employ VTI’s EX7000 RF/microwave subsystems as a standard reusable platform, along with standard open-architecture interfaces and Web-based monitor and control.
When developing complete systems, VTI uses its Web-based Microwave Configurator and third-party component database, while its scalable LXI Class A subsystems form the hardware platform. The modular units, which are also sold stand-alone to customers for in-house builds, include an OEM universal relay driver and I/O, modular microwave switches covering ranges from DC to 40 GHz. Design tools include SolidWorks 3-D modeling software.
