GL announces automatic echo canceller test system
-- Test & Measurement World, 6/5/2008 9:00:00 AM
Comprising hardware and software, GL Communications’ echo canceller (EC) test system for VoIP/TDM hybrid networks automates compliance testing of gateways per ITU G.168 specifications.
The AutoEC Test software uses GL’s T1/E1 Analyzer on the TDM side of the gateway and RTP ToolBox on the IP side of the gateway to perform the G.168 compliance test. It tests EC conformance to G.168 (01/2007), G.168 (08/2004), G.168 (06/2002), and G.168 (04/2000) ITU-T test requirements. AutoEC Test Viewer supplements AutoEC Test software, allowing you to view and analyze EC test results.
Echo path loss, echo path delay, and hybrid dispersion are controlled through T1/E1 cards at the TDM interface, while Windows client/server software allows automation. On the IP side, RTP ToolBox is used to send stimulus files and capture the returned response, with RTP ToolBox client/server software providing automation.
