Compliant with DTMB, the Chinese digital terrestrial television (DTTV) standard, the DiviCatch RF-DTMB pocket analyzer from Enensys Technologies validates live DTMB streams. The compact device, which is self-powered through its USB port, combines DTMB RF live reception with MPEG2-TS real-time analysis and recording.
Intended for broadcasters, R&D labs, and set-top box manufacturers working with Chinese DTTV, the DiviCatch RF-DTMB is capable of tuning a DTMB modulated signal and performing analysis at RF, modulation, and transport levels. Software bundled with the unit provides full real-time analysis of critical RF measurements and MPEG2-TS validation as defined in the ETR290 standard.
A GPS option enables end-users to perform advanced coverage testing by recording all key RF parameters synchronized with GPS coordinates, time, and speed. Exporting the log output to a cartographic application, such as Google Earth, achieves a complete map of network coverage.
The DiviCatch RF-DTMB’s RF analysis includes real-time information on all critical transmission parameters, while MPEG2-TS analysis offers real-time information on bit rates and PSI/SI signaling. Additionally, the ETR290 validation scheme provides stream compliance elements. Specific to the Chinese DTMB standard (GB20600-2006), SIP packets used to synchronize SFN transmitters are also decoded for in-depth testing.
