The AXS-200/630 from EXFO Electro-Optical Engineering is a VDSL2 triple-play test module for the installation and troubleshooting of VDSL2 network deployments and 10/100-Mbps Ethernet-based triple-play services. Offering universal testing and interoperability, the AXS-200/630 supports ADSL, ADSL2, ADSL2+, and VDSL2.
According to the manufacturer, it is the first test set to leverage Broadcom’s customer premises equipment (CPE) multimode VDSL2 chipset, featuring Broadcom PhyR retransmission technology. PhyR impulse protection capability enables telecom operators to increase ADSL2+ and VDSL2 rates and reach.
Housed inside the AXS-200 SharpTESTER, EXFO’s handheld WinCE-based test set, the AXS-200/630 access test module is specifically designed for assessing the quality of service of IP-based voice and video services. It provides the necessary combination of DSL and Ethernet interfaces to enable testing in any residential triple-play environment. An extensive suite of QoS metrics is available in an easy-to-interpret pass/fail format. In addition, the AXS-200/630 can be optionally configured with an extensive range of copper measurements.
