Version 2.0 of SignalMeister waveform creation software from Keithley Instruments leverages a new object-oriented graphical user interface (GUI). According to the company, it is the only waveform creation software that uses a click-and-drag object-based approach, allowing RF engineers to intuitively create basic and complex waveforms using graphical objects.
SignalMeister’s object-oriented GUI is optimized for MIMO signals and lets you visually create a dynamically expanded range of test waveforms. Version 2.0 enables the creation of the entire range of signals in accordance with WiMAX and WLAN wireless connectivity standards and 3GPP and 3GPP2 cellular standards.
SignalMeister is an expandable PC-based software platform with a common user interface that allows waveform creation from multiple signal standards with optional additive signal impairments and channel modeling in a single development environment. You can download the waveforms you create to Keithley’s Series 2900 RF vector signal generators. The software includes built-in libraries for many different signal types, including W-CDMA, HSDPA, HSUPA, cdmaOne, cdma2000, 1xEV-DV, 802.11a-b-g-j-n WLAN, and 802.16e-2006 mobile WiMAX.
SignalMeister is available at no charge and can be downloaded at www.keithley.com/signal. It is part of the solution being offered with all Series 2900 RF vector signal generators. Software licenses start at $2500.
