Sensortechnics' pressure sensors provide digital SPI output
-- Test & Measurement World, 7/1/2008 8:55:00 AM
The HCE series of miniature pressure sensors from Sensortechnics offers pressure measurement from 10 mbar up to 10 bar, while supplying digital and analog output signals. Devices comply with the SPI bus protocol and can directly communicate with microcontrollers and microprocessors. Custom outputs are also available.
Sensors in the HCE series achieve high total accuracies, with a total error band of better than ±0.5% FSS, including all temperature effects. A 3-V supply requirement and special low-power options make these sensors well-suited for battery-powered portable device applications. Typical applications include instrumentation, medical devices, and environmental controls.
Miniature surface-mount housings with straight or barbed pressure ports offer flexibility for OEM designs and space-saving PCB mounting. DIP and SIL versions are available on request. In addition, Sensortechnics can modify the HCE pressure sensors based on customers’ specific requirements.
