LXI news at Frost congress, Autotestcon

Two events over the past two weeks have helped shine a spotlight on LXI and related technologies. Autotestcon two weeks ago saw the demonstration of LXI-compatible e-trak RF switch matrices from Senariotek, and Agilent Technologies announced that its MXA signal analyzer and MXG signal generator will have options available for LXI Class B compliance by the fall of 2007. LXI Class B provides synchronization and IEEE 1588 precision time capabilities. The MXA and MXG are currently LXI Class C compliant.
And last week at a Frost & Sullivan executive congress titled ”Industry Outlooks and Growth Strategies 2006," analysts and prospective test-equipment customers expressed interest in synthetic instruments based on low-cost, standard platforms.--Rick Nelson
