The lab in the corner
January 3, 2007

On December 21, my about engineers, "The Lab in the Corner," went live on this site. This is the second song I've written and recorded for Test & Measurement World online, the first being "The Measurement Blues." In "The Lab in the Corner," I imagined the test engineer, relegated to the back of the lab, but with the power to halt projects unless the designers get it right. This song has a dark feel to it, helped along by a minor key and some extra reverb by the recording engineer.

One reader commented that I shouldn't give up my day job on account of my singing. OK, it could be better but I'm working on it. On the other hand, a few more songs and writing them may become my day job.

I hope you enjoy "The Lab in the Corner." If you have any ideas for songs, post a comment or send an e-mail to m.rowe@tmworld.com
