No Mickey Mouse operation
January 26, 2007

This year, the Measurement Science Conference moved to the Long Beach Convention Center from Disneyland, where it's been for several years. Having just returned from the conference, I welcome that change. Downtown Long Beach has come a long way back, with many new resturants and shops to explore, plus an acquarium ( I didn't have tim to visit, though). Disneyland has its advantages, especially if you bring your children. Unless you have a car, you have no choice but to walk through Downtown Disney at night. That can be fun, but after a few visits it gets old.

Next year, MSC moves back to Disneyland. The 2009 location hasn't been decided yet, but I'm putting in my $0.02 for Long Beach.
