Excel 2007 has 16 times more rows
January 24, 2008

The folks at data-acquisition software company JustMeasure informed me that Microsoft has increased the number of rows in Excel 2007 spreadsheets. Prior to the release of Excel 2007, you were limited to 216 (65536) rows, which could limit data analysis for some data-acquisition applications. Excel 2007 (Excel version 12), though, can handle 220, or 1048756 rows. You can read about this and other increased limits, such as memory and formulas, by clicking here.
