Another electronic distraction
September 19, 2007

Electronics has added to the driving distractions that limit safety. First there were radios, then tapes, then CDs, then cell phones (biggest distraction of all), then iPods. Some electronic distractions, though, reside outside your vehicle. The latest comes from Boston's renowned public TV station, WGBH. The station recently moved into a new odd-shaped building overlooking I-90, known here as the "Mass Pike." The building features a 30 ft. by 45 ft. screen that displays assorted images, although no advertising, that's clearly visible in I-90 east. I saw the screen yesterday and today, the Boston Globe featured a story on the screen. Click here to see the article and photo. The article doens't mention that just two miles to the east, you can view the big screen at Fenway Park.
