New wrinkle in Intel vs. AMD war

In the latest struggle in the AMD vs. Intel microprocessor war, AMD might be looking to buy graphics-chipset maker ATI Technologies, the Wall Street Journal reports today. Neither company has officially commented. The deal would give AMD chipset capability that would help it better compete with Intel, especially in the laptop space, although it could sour AMD’s relationship with ATI competitor and graphics-chip maker NVIDIA.
