Feature creep hits new low with wireless sneakers
June 22, 2006

Feature creep has reached a new low--extending all the way to ground level, you might say. Now, you can buy running shows with an MP3 player embedded in the heels, from a company called Dada Footwear.

What's next? Well, remember Maxwell Smart? That's right. Dada's footwear may soon be able to make phone calls. You probably won't have to hold your sneaker to your ear, however. The electronics embedded in the heel will probably communicate wirelessly with a headset.
