The day the EMC music died
Martin Rowe- June 13, 2012
I just learned the the EMC Society Band won’t play at the 2012 IEEE EMC Symposium in Pittsburgh. The past three years were fun, but apparently business won out over music on the exhibit floor. I was looking forward to playing my new song, “Red Eye Jedi” in front of a live audience but alas, that won’t happen. So, the best we can do is watch and listen to past EMC Symposium gigs.
“EMC engineers pull off a good gig,” the original performance in Austin, 2009.
From 2011 in Long Beach, I played an acoustic instrumental of Fields of Gold by Sting.
In “Engineering and music share common threads,” three EMC Society Band members share their thoughts on music and engineering.
Do you have a band or just play for fun? Send us your photos, audio, or video. Contact me here or at the bottom of the page. Whatever you do, keep playing.
