My new home office: Update 3
Martin Rowe- August 15, 2012
As you saw in Update 2, my personal computer uses a typical keyboard with the mouse on the right. But, the standard-size keyboard doesn’t leave much room for the mouse.Enter the mini-keyboard. It does everything I need without the numeric keypad and it’s far smaller that a full keyboard. Now, I have enough room for the mouse. Cost of the mini-keyboard: $20 with free shipping.
I changed chairs to one with no arms. It’s not ideal, but not only were they interfering with my getting close enough to the keyboard, but their surface rubbed on my arms. That might not be a problem once summer departs (in New England, that could any moment) and I’m back to long sleeves. But it doesn’t work right now. I still need a new chair.
