EXFO teams with Artiza for LTE eNodeB testing

EXFO has formed a partnership with Artiza Networks, a Japanese provider of LTE RAN (radio access network) test products, for the worldwide distribution of Artiza’s LTE eNodeB load testers. Artiza’s DuoSIM platform enables LTE eNodeB wrap-around testing, providing high-capacity simulation of up to 6 sectors and 1000 UEs (user equipment units) per sector.

According to EXFO, the combination of Artiza’s eNodeB test capabilities with EXFO’s QualityAssurer test platforms for LTE, IMS (IP multimedia subsystem), and EPC (evolved packet core) simulation creates a complete solution for end-to-end load testing. EXFO will now be able to offer an LTE eNodeB wrap-around test solution that provides a C-plane burst-generation capacity of up to 500 calls and 300 pages per second. In addition, the RF range can be selected through software; no additional hardware is required for a different RF range.
