Ruetz upgrades test software for MOST150
Susan Nordyk- June 6, 2012
Ruetz System Solutions has extended its TTsuite software to accommodate all speed grades and physical layers of the MOST (Media Oriented Systems Transport) networking standard for in-car data transmission. TTsuite now offers a scalable framework for MOST testing at 25 Mbps, 50 Mbps, and 150 Mbps. Supported physical layers include plastic optical fiber and coax shielded or unshielded twisted-pair copper wires.System integrators can use the TTsuite for testing and simulating MOST25, MOST50, and MOST150 systems of varying complexity. The tool is based on the TTCN-3 test description language and uses the GFT (Graphical Presentation Format) of TTCN-3 for defining, visualizing, and documenting tests. Test routines can be used both as executable tests and as test specifications.
In addition to the standard test system, Ruetz provides test adapters for CAN, RS-232, GPIB, HTTP, FTP, SMTP, SQL, POP3, SNMP, TCP, and UDP, as well as customer-specific DLLs and interfaces. Ready-to-use test suites are available for:
- MOST Profile AUXIN Compliance Test Specification;
- MOST Profile ConnectionMaster Compliance Test Specification;
- MOST Extended Core Compliance Test Specification MOST High Protocol; and
- MOST Extended Core Compliance Test Specification ECL.
For MOST150 compliance testing, Ruetz also offers a physical-layer stress-test tool. The PhLSTT instrument can be used to feed a MOST ECU with a stress-test pattern and to check the signal of the responding ECUs for errors, such as bit error rate.
