Kepco 750-W supply occupies low-profile half rack
Susan Nordyk- July 2, 2012The KLN 750 series of programmable power supplies from Kepco features constant-voltage/constant-current operation with automatic crossover, delivering 750 W of stable DC power in a low-profile 1U half-rack package. Eleven models are available covering ranges from 0 to 6 VDC at 0 to 100 A to 0 to 600 VDC at 0 to 1.25 A.
Programming of voltage, current, and their respective limits is accomplished through front-panel controls, RS-485 digital control, or by remote analog means. GPIB or LAN interfaces are factory-installed options. A switch-mode topology enables cool, efficient operation, while a speed-controlled fan limits acoustic noise for bench applications.
All of the supplies have a wide-range AC input from 100 V to 240 V, 50/60-Hz, with power factor correction of 0.99 (at 115 VAC, rated output). Up to five units can be connected in parallel, up to two units in series, equipped with active current sharing.
Price: $1300 (single-piece quantities); $450 for the LAN interface; and $545 for the GPIB interface.
