The ZS smart measurement sensor from Omron combines two-dimensional CMOS imaging with laser measurements to create an inspection system that provides 110-μs response time and 0.25-μm resolution for inspecting moving work pieces and capturing data on the fly. The sensor's gain setting can be customized for specific environmental conditions. Five sensor heads are available, for distances ranging from 20 to 200 mm and measuring ranges from 1 to 50 mm.
