Agilent introduces 26.5-GHz signal analyzer

Test Measurement World Staff - November 1, 2009

Agilent Technologies has introduced the N9030A PXA signal analyzer, the highest-performance member of the Agilent X-Series signal analyzers. The PXA provides frequency coverage up to 26.5 GHz, and it includes code-compatibility features to support replacement of existing Agilent or HP analyzers, including the HP 8566 and 8568, the HP/Agilent 856x, and the Agilent PSA.

The Agilent PXA offers 75-dB spurious-free dynamic range at a 140-MHz analysis bandwidth. Specifications include –128-dBc/Hz phase noise at a 10-kHz offset (1 GHz), 0.19-dB absolute amplitude accuracy, and sensitivity of –172-dBm DANL (displayed average noise level) at 2 GHz. Matlab data-analysis software is available as an Agilent option on all X-Series signal analyzers. These packages enable users to make application-specific measurements and test modulation schemes, and users can also develop their own customized applications using live signal analyzer data.

Base prices: 3.6-GHz N9030A-503—$51,900; 26.5-GHz N9030A-526—$66,300. Agilent Technologies, www.agilent.com.
