2U VME64x horizontal chassis houses four board

Pixus Technologies’ latest SlimBox 19-in. rack-mount enclosure is a 2U VME64x model that allows horizontal installation of four VME boards at both the front and rear. A 9U horizontal-mount backplane comes with pluggable 47-pin connectors for hot-swappable AC or DC power supplies rated at up to 250 W.

The 2U VME64x SlimBox provides integrated ESD and EMC protection, as well as enclosure cooling from left to right. Fully assembled, wired, and tested, the industrial chassis complies with VITA-1, VITA-1.1, IEC 60 297-3, and IEEE 1101.1/1101.10/1101.11 standards. Pixus also offers VME64x chassis in 1U and 4U SlimBox versions, as well as vertical-mount enclosures in 4U, 7U, 8U, 9U, and larger heights.

Prices for the VME64x SlimBox enclosures start at $1000, depending on size, configuration, and volume. Lead time is two to four weeks.
