Pasternack rolls out line of low-PIM adapters
Test & Measurement World Staff - August 15, 2012
Used for portable PIM (passive intermodulation) testing and sweep testing, this line of low-PIM adapters from Pasternack Enterprises comprises various combinations of 7/16 DIN, Type N, and SMA connector types. These precision devices provide PIM levels that are consistently less than –165 dBc with VSWR levels up to 8 GHz.
The adapters can be teamed with the company’s low-PIM coaxial cable jumpers for use in such applications as cellular/PCS installations, RF wireless infrastructure, OEM in-rack RF routing, in-building systems, and land mobile radio. According to the manufacturer, the adapters are fabricated with high machine tolerances to provide an optimum electrical and mechanical interface. Each adapter body is plated with a tri-metal Albaloy coating that produces a durable surface with good corrosion protection and abrasion resistance, while providing strong electrical-contact properties.
Single-unit prices for the low-PIM adapters range from $35 to $102. Quantity discounts are available.
