Software options for Anritsu’s MT8820C radio communications analyzer allow the instrument to test LTE FDD Band 22 and LTE TDD Band 42/43 smart phones and mobile terminals. With these new capabilities, the MT8820C supports the LTE FDD Band 22 3.4-GHz to 3.6-GHz frequency and the LTE TDD Band 42/32 3.4-GHz to 3.8-GHz frequency, adding to the analyzer’s standard 30-MHz to 2.7-GHz frequency coverage.
The new functionalities are part of a portfolio of dedicated measurement hardware and software that can be installed in the MT8820C main unit to support any cellular technology, including LTE, W-CDMA/HSPA, CDMA2000/EVDO, TD-SCDMA, GSM, and PHS. A single-instrument solution, the MT8820C provides a broad range of test capabilities, including UE (user equipment) calibration. It also offers a parallel phone mode that allows true simultaneous testing of two UEs concurrently or simultaneous testing of dual-radio UEs, such as SV-LTE and SVDO.
