6U dual-slot cPCI blade employs eight-core processor

Packing up to 48 Gbytes of DDR3-1333 ECC registered memory, the cPCI-630 processor blade from Adlink is powered by a 1.8-GHz eight-core Intel Xeon E5-2448L processor and C604 chipset. Front-panel connectivity includes four Gigabit Ethernet ports, two USB 3.0 ports, three USB 2.0 ports, and a VGA port. Rear I/O comprises up to three SATA ports and up to eight SAS ports supporting hardware RAID via two mini-SAS connectors.
The server-grade processor blade can be used by telecom and datacom system integrators, computer makers, and security sectors for mission-critical applications. Its eight-core processor delivers the computing power of 16 concurrent threads. Onboard storage is provided by a 4-Gbyte soldered SATA NAND flash drive, accompanied by an optional bootable CompactFlash socket and optional SAS/SATA direct connector for an onboard 2.5-in. hard drive. The cPCI-6930 also provides a PMC/XMC expansion site that accommodates 64-bit, 133-MHz PCI modules or PCI Express x8 XMC modules.
