DSO provides FFT function for bandwidth test
Test & Measurement World Staff - August 29, 2012
GAO Instruments’ USB PC-based digital storage oscilloscope, the Model A0120006, features a 5-in-1 design that integrates a digital scope, logic analyzer, FFT spectrum analyzer, electronic counter, and clock-jitter analyzer into one device. The module solves complicated trigger problems by providing such trigger functions as rising edge, falling edge, pulse width, delayed, and count. It operates at a 170-MHz bandwidth and supports up to 512 universal trigger levels.
The Model A0120006 delivers a maximum repeat sampling rate of 20 Gsamples/s and single-shot sampling rates of up to 1 Gsample/s. Data-acquisition buffers on each channel store 4 Msamples or 8 Msamples. A 125-MHz frequency counter provides up to 7-digit resolution and 1-Msample memory for each analog channel. The scope module also features a timing state display for logic debug, multi-window software, and optional DLL libraries.
