LinkTest Dual E1 from GL Communications is a battery-operated E1 test and measurement device that provides all of the basic functions needed for digital voice and data testing, as well as jitter and wander measurement and pulse-mask analysis. The dual-port design of the handheld unit provides a 2048-kbps interface on Port A, while Port B is configurable for 2048-kbps Tx/Rx, codirectional, or clock input.
LinkTest Dual E1 is compatible with multiple communication interfaces, including V.11/X.24, V.24/RS-232, V.35, V.36/RS-449, EIA-530, and EIA-530A, and it supports ITU-T G.711 encoding with A law, as well as G.703 and G.704 standards. With a wide range of software options for E1 services and subrate multiplexing, the unit offers a scalable solution for maintaining and troubleshooting E1 and datacom links.
A color TFT display provides a clear screen with a full set of physical-layer tests for E1 balanced and unbalanced circuits, including bit error rate, voice frequency, round trip delay, and signal level. LinkTest Dual E1 also furnishes two USB ports, two RJ45 Ethernet ports, an external DC input, and internal rechargeable batteries.
