Compensated pressure sensors span 0 to 300 psi
Test & Measurement World Staff - September 9, 2012
Servoflo offers the MS4425 series of piezoresistive pressure sensors, available in differential, gage, and absolute pressure ranges from 0 to 1 psi to 0 to 300 psi with temperature-compensated millivolt output. The sensors, which are manufactured by Measurement Specialties, are compensated from 0 to 50°C and deliver long-term stability of ±0.1 mV
Gage and absolute sensors provide span nonlinearity of ±0.15%, while differential models provide ±0.25% span nonlinearity. Housed in a dual-in-line board-mount package, each device features 1/8-in. barbed pressure ports that mate with 3/32-in. ID tubing. These tubes are parallel to the pc board to allow other boards to be located above the sensor. Vertical-mount models are also available (MS4426 series).
MS4425 pressure sensors accept a 12-VDC supply. Typical applications include altitude and airspeed measurement, process control, factory automation, leak detection, and medical instruments.
Pressure sensors in the MS425 series cost $16.85 in lots of 500 units. Samples are available for qualified customers.
