Power analyzer captures 400-Hz measurements

Test & Measurement World Staff - October 4, 2012

Designed for technicians in avionics and defense, the Fluke 437 Series II power quality and energy analyzer can be used for submarine, aircraft, military ship, and other transport applications where 400-Hz measurements are mission critical.

Like other models in the Fluke 430 Series II, the 437 analyzer measures and quantifies energy losses due to harmonics and unbalance issues, allowing users to pinpoint the origin of energy waste within a system.

The 437 three-phase analyzer captures and displays waveforms and half-cycle RMS voltage and current values in detail to measure interactions during switching operations to prevent motor, drive, and load mismatches. Compliant with IEC 61000-4-30 Class A standards, the handheld unit can monitor systems with up to 10 power-quality parameters on one screen. It also records up to 150 parameters on four phases simultaneously, in accordance with EN50160 requirements, and has a 600-V CAT IV/100-V CAT III safety rating.
